The first mile feels full of possibility. Fresh legs. An open road. Every reason to push. Negative Split starts with a different choice: leave something for the road ahead.
THE IDEA BEHIND THE DROP
Start easy. Finish strong. A running identity built around patience, measured effort, and a finish earned over the whole route.
What does negative split mean?
A negative split means completing the second half of a run or race in less time than the first half. World Athletics uses this distinction when describing pacing patterns. It is a timing term; the message behind this design is patience.
For a simple illustration, take a 5K completed in 30 minutes: the first 2.5K in 15:30 and the second 2.5K in 14:30. Those equal-distance halves produce a negative split. The numbers explain the concept; they are not a pace target.
Patience before pace
PACEHABIT is built around runners who value the full journey. The opening stretch is part of the run, and so is everything after it. This drop celebrates the restraint involved in thinking beyond the first few minutes.
There is a familiar kind of confidence in leaving the start without making a statement. You settle into the route. You pay attention. You let the miles develop. The watch records the outcome; the choice begins earlier.
Our easy pace running guide explores controlled effort in more detail. An easy day still has its own purpose. Wearing this message does not turn every outing into a faster-finish workout.
Behind the design: the road changes halfway
The back artwork follows a winding road toward the mountains. Off-white line work establishes the route, while neon lime carries the road beyond its midpoint. A runner sits within the scene, beneath the Negative Split lettering.
The visual tells the story before the slogan does: the opening road belongs to the finish. Under the illustration, Start easy. Finish strong. puts the idea into six words.
PACEHABIT branding and Negative Split lettering in neon lime keep the chest clean.
Mountain-road artwork, a runner, and a lime route carry the main story.
Black, off-white, and electric lime keep the design rooted in PACEHABIT.
A place in your everyday rotation
This is a running-lifestyle tee: a way to carry your running identity into the coffee stop, the club meetup, or the hours after the shoes come off. The regular unisex crew-neck fit, cotton feel, and front-and-back DTG print are listed on the product page.
Sizes run from XS to 5XL. Before ordering, compare the product size chart with the chest width and body length of a tee you already wear. Choose session clothing separately for the weather and activity.
Carry it into the next mile
Every run has a beginning. The Negative Split drop asks you to remember the rest of it.
